The Conductor
FLORENCE BLANCHARD

After passing her degree in singing and musical knowledge at the National Conservatory of Lyons, she kept studying with a private teacher. She belonged to the choir of soloists of Lyons directed by Bernard Tétu.

Since 1982 she has has been teaching singing at the Music School of Roanne and Mably.
In 1981 she became the conductor of the Ensemble Vocal of Roanne.



As a soloist, several famous conductors invited her and she sang :

- Psalm 51 and Cantatas by J.S.Bach
- Christmas Night Mass and St Peter's denial by M..A. Charpentier
- Melodies by Schumann, Purcell, Dowland, Gounod
- Three lessons of Tenebrae by Couperin
- Solemn  Mass by Rossini
- Stabat Mater by Pergolese
- Israel in Egyp by Haendel








She also conducted several works with orchestra :

-  Dixit Dominus by Haendel

- The Chrismas Oratorio by Saint Saëns

- Gloria by Vivaldi

- Several pieces by Schubert, Gabrielli, Caldara, Buxtehude

-The Coronation Mass and the Vesperai Solennes de Confessore by Mozart

- The Creation by  Haydn.



Since 1974, she has been performing recitals with Marie-Laure VERNISSE, harpist,
 and she has been singing baroques tunes, Irish songs and spirituals

In 2001 she brillantly passed a complementary and ultimate degree in musical studies at the National Music School of Vichy




 In 2005, the French Ministry of Culture made her Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres (Knight of Arts and Humanities).







    She received her insignia from Bernard Tétu,
  Art and Music Director of the Choeurs des solistes de Lyon
(Chorus of soloists of Lyons) who beforehand recalled
